[origin: EP0451472A1] A hinged package (1) for food products, especially hamburgers, has two shaped halves (2, 3) which are recessed, joined together via a hinge (7), complement one another and can be folded into a closed position in which they enclose a receiving space for the food product. The closed position can be secured by closure parts (8, 9) on the shaped halves (2, 3). The shaped halves (2, 3) consist of baked dough. The hinge (7) also consists of an edible substance which, however, remains soft and flexible.
