A creel of a ring spinning machine 1, having two working rows 2, 3 of empty roving bobbins 4, is assigned a transport row 5, serving for removing empty roving bobbins 4 and supplying new full roving bobbins 6 to the working rows 2, 3, and a transfer device 10.
