A grinding wheel with an abrasive (1) comprising abrasive grain, binder and preferably grinding-active and grinding-inactive fillers. The abrasive (1) is provided with at least one wearing fabric (3), which is embedded in the abrasive (1) on a flat side thereof and either has electrically conductive metal filaments (4) or there are electrically conductive metal filaments (4) woven into the fabric (3). Eine Schleifscheibe mit einem Schleifkörper (1) aus Schleifkorn, Bindemittel und vorzugsweise schleifaktiven und schleifinaktiven Füllstoffen. Der Schleifkörper (1) ist mit mindestens einem verschleißenden Gewebe (3) versehen, das an einer Flachseite des Schleifkörpers (1) in diesen eingelegt ist und entweder elektrisch leitende Metallfäden (4) aufweist oder es sind elektrisch leitende Metallfäden (4) in das Gewebe (3) eingewoben. Die elektrisch leitenden Metallfäden (4) bzw. Folienbänder (5) liegen zumindestens teilweise an der Oberfläche des Schleifkörpers (1). <IMAGE>
