Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0451619A1] In the manufacture of a composite polygonal panel (1) for floors, first of all a flat blank is produced from a laminated sheet, which comprises a tension-resistant rigid component (9) and a flexible component (10). The flexible component forms a foldable outer layer. This blank is provided within the rigid component at the points of the intended edges (11, 12) of the composite panel with in each case straight V-shaped notches, which have an included angle of about 90 DEG , delimit a base area (3) and several wall areas (4, 5) from one another and extend from the side facing away from the foldable outer layer. The vortex of the notches lies in the direct proximity of the uninterrupted foldable outer layer. Thereafter, the wall elements (4, 5) are folded up around the vortex lines to form a tray (2), which is filled with a curable casting compound (14). <IMAGE>
