The invention relates to a device for the prevention of misuse of an electrical appliance. A timer switch (1) can be arranged lockably in the housing (42) together with a plug (5), which is situated in the socket-outlet (4) of the timer switch (1) and is arranged on a line (6) which leads to the electrical appliance to be protected. Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Sichern eines Elektrogerätes vor Mißbrauch. In dem Gehäuse (42) ist eine Zeitschaltuhr (1) zusammen mit einem in der Steckdose (4) der Zeitschaltuhr (1) befindlichen Stecker (5), der an einer Leitung (6) angeordnet ist, die zu dem zu sichernden Elektrogerät führt, verriegelbar anordenbar. Das Gehäuse (42) besitzt wenigstens eine Öffnung (40, 41) zum Hindurchführen des Netzkabels (11) der Zeitschaltuhr (1) und der mit dem Stecker (5) verbundenen Leitung (6). <IMAGE>
