Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a guardrail system with two rails (1a, 1b) for holding vehicles on a road with separate lanes. The rails (1a, 1b) are connected by spacers (2) fixed at their centre to common posts (4). Each spacer (2) comprises a wall portion (6) pressed against a face (5) of the post (4) and fixed by a single bolt (7). The post (4) acts as a lever arm on the said wall portion (6) in the event of impact and in order to pull out the bolt (7). The other faces of the post (4) are free of any contact with the spacer (2). <IMAGE>
