[origin: WO9106405A1] A handle for a knife. The handle body (2) consists of a tapering head portion (14), an intermediary portion (6) and a tail portion (12). On the head portion (4) a rest (16) for the tip of the index finger is formed, whereas on one side of the intermediary portion (6) a concavely shaped supporting area (9) for the thumb and on the opposite side of both the head portion (4) and the intermediary portion (6) a supporting area (10, 17) for the middle finger are formed. The handle (2) according to the invention may be used both in the overhand grip and in two different penhold grips and therefore particularly suitable for a surgery knife.

Le corps du manche (2) est constitué d'une partie de tête effilée (14), d'une partie intermédiaire (6) et d'une partie arrière (12). La partie de tête (4) comporte un appui (16) pour l'index de la main de l'utilisateur, tandis qu'un côté de la partie intermédiaire (6) comporte une zone de support concave (9) pour le pouce, et les côtés opposés à la fois de la partie de tête (4) et de la partie intermédiaire (6) comportent des zones de support (10, 17) pour le médius. On peut utiliser le manche en le saisissant par en dessus ou, de deux façons différentes, comme s'il s'agissait d'un stylo ou analogue. Il est donc particulièrement bien adapté à un couteau de chirurgien.
