[origin: EP0452761A1] A protective contact plug for electrical appliances which can be connected to a mains socket, having a base plate and an earthing spring, clipped thereto, for holding and fixing the protective conductor of a three-wire load line, is characterised in that an insertion funnel for the connecting socket of the protective conductor is constructed as a head part, aligned coaxially with respect to the connecting socket, of an approximately L-shaped moulding which stands proud of the base plate and overhangs the connecting socket. In this way it is achieved that the individual small wires of the protective conductor are held in securely when the protective conductor end is inserted during production. <IMAGE>
