Abstract (en)
A silver halide photographic material comprising a support having thereon a surface latent image type silver halide emulsion layer and other constitutional layers; at least one of said layers including a compound represented by formula (I) below: <CHEM> wherein X represents OR1 or <CHEM> R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a group which can become a hydrogen atom as a result of hydrolysis, R2, R3 and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom or a substitutable group, R5 and R6 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group, an alkylcarbonyl group, an arylcarbonyl group or a carbamoyl group, Y is a group which promotes adsorption on silver halide, L represents a divalent linking group, and m represents 0 or 1.
