[origin: EP0453772A1] A doctor blade inking device for a printing machine with a chamber doctor blade (1) delivering ink to an engraved roller (3) is switchable between an operating and a throw-off position by means of a control device (2). Arranged on the printing machine, below the chamber doctor blade (1), is an ink supply device (14) with an ink duct (15) and an ink pump (17). The chamber doctor blade (1) has an ink supply duct (7) and an outwardly open ink inlet opening (18) and the ink supply device (14) has an ink delivery duct (19) with an outwardly open ink outlet opening (20). The adjustment path of the chamber doctor blade is dimensioned in such a manner that, in the operating position, the ink supply duct (7) is positioned with its ink inlet opening (18) above the ink outlet opening (20) of the ink delivery duct (19) to form a continuous pipe. <IMAGE>
