[origin: EP0453854A2] The invention relates to a printing machine with an inking unit and a dampening unit which interact by means of ink and moisture spreading rollers with a printing forme, and with a control device for displacement of the moisture spreading roller into a contact or separation position in relation to the printing forme. For simple handling in particular, it is envisaged that, for application of a gumming to the printing forme (8), the moisture spreading roller (7) is supplied with a gumming liquid (13) by a gumming device (11) and is displaced into its contact position in relation to the printing forme (8) by the control device. <IMAGE>
