[origin: JPH04223967A] PURPOSE: To provide a sheet intercepting device that has precise operation, a long operating distance and a high operating speed. CONSTITUTION: A sheet intercepting device for a sheet processing machine has a movable grid 45 that are mounted on a movable carriage 40 to intercept sheets being discharged one after another on top of a pile. The movable carriage 40 is moved by a planetary system comprising a pinion 30 that is movable in a circular arc and placed in continuous mesh with a rim 20. The pinion 30 is connected to the movable carriage 40 via a stud 44. The intercepting device is useful in the sheet delivery station of a cutting machine for producing packages.
