An electrical switching device for fitment to installation automatic switches, especially line protection circuit breakers or fault-current protection circuit breakers, having contact points for at least one potential-free switch terminal, which contact points are operated by an operating device and interact with coupling elements which pass through the flat side of the housing, which is of narrow construction, of the switching device and of an adjacent automatic switch and transmit the switch position of the automatic switch via the operating device to the respective switch terminal, the operating device being formed from a switch mechanism which is allocated in each case to one switch terminal and is independent of the others, a contact drum, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the moving contact pieces of the automatic switch and supports them such that they can rotate, being connected in a positively locking manner to one of the coupling elements, so that the rotational movement of the contact drum, and hence the switch position of the automatic switch, is transmitted to the associated operating device. <IMAGE>

Elektrisches Schaltgerät zum Anbau an Installations-Selbstschalter, insbesondere Leitungsschutzschalter oder Fehlerstromschutzschalter, mit Kontaktstellen für wenigstens einen potentialfreien Schalterpol, welche von einer Betätigungseinrichtung betätigt werden, die mit die Flachseite des in Schmalbauweise ausgebildeten Gehäuse des Schaltgerätes und eines angrenzenden Selbstschalters durchgreifenden und die Schaltstellung des Selbstschalters über die Betätigungseinrichtung auf den jeweiligen Schalterpol übertragenden Kupplungsgliedern zusammenarbeiten, wobei die Betätigungseinrichtung aus einem jeweils einem Schalterpol zugeordneten, gegenüber den anderen unabhängigen Schaltwerk gebildet ist, wobei eine mit den beweglichen Kontaktstücken des Selbstschalters drehfest verbundene und diese drehbar lagernde Kontaktwalze mit einem der Kupplungsglieder formschlüssig in Verbindung steht, so daß die Drehbewegung der Kontaktwalze und damit die Schaltstellung des Selbstschalters auf die zugehörige Betätigungseinrichtung übertragen wird. <IMAGE>
