[origin: EP0454510A1] The invention relates to a control circuit for a hydraulic double acting cylinder (10) constituted by a piston (12) connected to an output shaft (18) and separating a cylinder into two chambers (14, 16), comprising a source of pressurized fluid (20, 26), a distribution system (28, 28', 52, 52') alternatively connecting one of the chambers, or control chamber, with the source of pressurized fluid (20, 26) and the other chamber, or controlled chamber, with a reservoir of fluid under low pressure (25) in order to control the movement of the piston (12) of the cylinder (10). According to the invention, the cylinder comprises an auxiliary circuit (50, 120, 122) to prevent the connection between the controlled chamber and the reservoir (25), interrupt the connection between the control chamber and the source of pressurized fluid (20, 26) and allow connection between the control chamber and the controlled chamber when the pressure of the fluid in the controlled chamber exceeds a predetermined value. <IMAGE>
