Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a device for actuating at least two adjacent valves which are mounted sliding in a cylinder head (10) along two parallel axes (X-X) and each comprising a valve stem (18) whose end (16) is actuated axially, against the coaxial force applied to it by a return spring (27), by a driving cam (24) which cooperates with the end face (22, 40) of a valve push rod (14) with a skirt (20) sliding in a bore in the cylinder head (10), the two driving cams (24) being carried by a cam shaft (26) whose axis (Y-Y) is perpendicular to those (X-X) of the valves, characterised in that it comprises means (32, 38) of stopping the rotation of each push rod (14) about its axis (X-X) and in that the end face of each push rod is a face having a rectangular outline whose width (l) is parallel to the axis (Y-Y) of the cam shaft and less than the diameter of the skirt (20) of the push rod, to which it is connected by lateral parts (42) which are inclined with respect to the axis (X-X) of the push rod. <IMAGE>
