[origin: EP0454567A1] Oven for cooking food comprising electrical broil (12) and bake (11) or grill resistors. It comprises a single broil resistor and a single bake resistor. Each of these resistors is in series with a switch controlled (16, 15) by a means (17) such as a microprocessor for setting the conduction time of this switch as a function of the maximum heating power desired. Temperature regulation in the oven is also obtained by acting on the conduction duration of the switch. <IMAGE>
