[origin: EP0454957A2] An adaptor for busbars has a housing with two lateral limbs which support electrical contacts. The limbs can move apart from one another and in the direction towards one another and to rest on the current conductors of a busbar which is to be arranged between the limbs. At least one limb is arranged such that it can move in a straight line and can be locked in the rest position of the electrical contacts on the current conductors of the busbar and on engagement of retaining elements in recesses of the busbar. <IMAGE>
