[origin: EP0454960A2] The invention relates to an espagnolette, having a bolt (35), which emerges from the fore end (1), and a latch (33), and at least one sliding-bar connection slide (53), which is displaceable by key actuation, and proposes, to obtain a design which is advantageous in particular in terms of space, that the sliding-bar connection slide (53) be movable by means of an angle leg (101), running above the latch (33) towards the fore end (1), into a free space (fork opening 33''') of the latch (33), open towards the narrow side of the latter. <IMAGE>

[origin: EP0454960A2] The drive rod lock as a bolt (35) and catch (33) protruding through a cover plate (1), and a slider(s) (53) coupled to rods and moved by a key. The slider is of angular shape, its arm (101) above the catch extending towards the cover plate. The arm is pref. inserted in a space in the catch, open towards the latter narrow side. In the retracted position of the catch, the arm can move via the space over the portion (102) of the slider, parallel to the cover plate.
