[origin: EP0455017A1] In a cleaning machine of the state of the art (Figure 1), the beating elements 3 are replaced by beating elements 3.1 according to the invention (Figure 5). Such beating elements have a hook-shaped construction and a substantially smaller diameter than the beating elements 3 which are beating pins of relatively large diameter. <??>The advantage of the hook-like beating element is a better pick-up and conveyance of the fibre flakes supplied. <IMAGE>
