[origin: EP0455096A1] The invention relates to a device for filling containers, especially bottles 2, with a liquid product, having at least one filling element 4 for controlled discharge of the liquid product into the respective container, and having a bell 3 which is provided on each filling element and in which a chamber completely receiving the respective container during a filling operation is constructed, and which possesses, on its underside, an opening serving for the introduction and removal of the respective container, and having a container support 5 which forms a standing area for the containers and is arranged in the direction of a filling-element axis VA below the filling element, it being possible to open and close the chamber at the opening of the bell by means of the container support by relative movement between the bell 3 and the container support 5 in the filling-element axis. <??>The particular feature of the invention is characterised by locking means which are provided on the container support and on the bell and with which the bell and the container support can be positively locked to one another at least for forces in the direction of the filling-element axis when the chamber is closed by the container support. <IMAGE>
