A metallic housing (11) for a screened electrical connector for connection to an electrical screen (31), in the form of a sleeve, of an electrical cable (29) which is to be connected to the connector, the housing (11) having a passage opening (15) on the cable inlet side. The passage opening (15) is formed in an end wall (13) of the housing (11) on the cable inlet side. A sleeve (17) passes through the passage opening (15), which sleeve (17) has a through-opening, which is matched to the external diameter of the screen (31) and is provided with a flange (23) which rests on the inside of the end wall (13), and with an external thread (21), at least on an outer part (19), projecting out of the housing (11). A threaded nut (25) is screwed onto the external thread (21) in order to clamp the end wall (13) firmly between the flange (23) and the threaded nut (25). <IMAGE>

Metallisches Gehäuse (11) für einen geschirmten elektrischen Verbinder zum Anschluß an einen schlauchartigen elektrischen Schirm (31) eines an den Verbinder anzuschließenden elektrischen Kabels (29), wobei das Gehäuse (11) eine kabeleinführseitige Durchtrittsöffnung (15) aufweist. Die Durchtrittsöffnung (15) ist in einer kabeleinführseitigen Stirnwand (13) des Gehäuses (11) gebildet. Durch die Durchtrittsöffnung (15) reicht eine Hülse (17) mit einer an den Außendurchmesser des Schirms (31) angepaßten Durchführöffnung hindurch, die mit einem an der Innenseite der Stirnwand (13) anliegenden Flansch (23) und mindestens auf einem aus dem Gehäuse (11) herausragenden Außenteil (19) mit einem Außengewinde (21) versehen ist. Auf das Außengewinde (21) ist eine Gewindemutter (25) zum Festklemmen der Stirnwand (13) zwischen dem Flansch (23) und der Gewindemutter (25) aufgeschraubt. <IMAGE>
