[origin: EP0455142A2] In profile sanding machines for wooden profiles, various machining units are to be able to be exchanged one for the other on the machine with the least possible effort and the machining unit is to be able to be set simply and accurately. For this purpose, the machining unit is slipped onto a mounting fixed to the machine and is supplied with power and control signals from the machine by means of a plug connection. In this arrangement, the mounting has two bearing surfaces with regard to the machining unit. The bearing surfaces are angled relative to one another and they both run transversely to the passage direction of the workpiece. Between the pressure-roller units arranged in front of and behind it, the machining unit here presses against the workpiece, the abrasive block being supported relative to the machining unit by a flexible element in order to ensure a uniform applied pressure.
