[origin: CA2041809A1] In a device for locking a switch rail to a stock rail, the switch rail is held down on a supporting surface only when it its locked and unlocked positions. When the switch rail is in the locked position, it is acted upon by a resultant force that prevents both a rotation of the switch rail and also holds it down.

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Verriegeln einer Weichenzunge (10, 12) mit einer Backenschiene (14, 16) vorgeschlagen, durch die die Weichenzunge nur in ihren Endstellungen, also in verriegelter und entriegelter Position auf einer Abstützfläche niedergehalten wird. Auf die Weichenzunge (10, 12) wirkt in verriegelter Stellung eine Kraftresultierende (53) ein, die sowohl ein Verdrehen der Weichenzunge verhindert als auch ein Niederhalten dieser bewirkt. <IMAGE>
