Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorspinnmaschine (Flyer) mit einer Vielzahl von gleichartigen Spinneinheiten S1 bis Sm, deren Aggregate, wie Spinnflügel SF, Spulen SP, Streckwerke SW, von jeweils gesonderten Motoren angetrieben werden. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Vorspinnmaschine in voneinander unabhängige Sektionen (SE1 bis SEn) unterteilt, von denen jede mehrere Spinneinheiten (SP1 bis SPm) aufweist. Die gleichartigen Aggregate (SF, SP, SW) der Spinneinheiten (S1 bis Sm) jeder Sektion (SE1 bis SEn) werden jeweils gemeinsam von einem eigenen separat angesteuerten Antriebsmotor (A11 bis A16) angetrieben. <IMAGE>
