Lighting unit having more than two small incandescent lamps connected in series, which are mounted inside a transparent tube on at least one lamp holder, the lamp holder being constructed to accommodate power supply leads and the power supply leads are supported leading to the terminals at the ends of the tube. In this arrangement, a concavely shaped reflector (17) having a focal point is integrally formed in each case on each small incandescent lamp (18). Leuchteinheit, mit mehr als zwei in Reihe geschalteten Glühlämpchen, die innerhalb einer transparenten Röhre auf mindestens einem Lampenträger montiert sind, wobei der Lampenträger zur Aufnahme von Stromzuleitungen ausgebildet ist und die Stromzuleitungen zu Anschlüssen an den Enden der Röhre geführt gelagert sind. Dabei ist jedem Glühlämpchen (18) jeweils ein konkav geformter, einen Brennpunkt aufweisender Reflektor (17) angeformt. Weiterhin ist die Glühwendel (21) der im Lampenträger (10) gehaltenen Glühlämpchen (18) im wesentlichen im Brennpunkt des Reflektors (17) angeordnet. <IMAGE>
