[origin: WO9108114A1] A web, e.g. of sign-making stock, is disclosed having a novel configuration of drive holes down each longitudinal edge for engagement by the spaced pins of the two sprocket drive wheels used in web handling apparatus to advance the web into a machine. According to the disclosure, alternating with the sprocket holes (2, 2') down each side of the web (1) are elongated slots (3, 3'), which enable the web to be used with machines of the type described in EP-B-0134064 and which have an extra pin on each sprocket wheel as a means of ensuring accurate registration of the web when being loaded into the machine.

Bande, par exemple de papier affiche, de conception nouvelle; elle est garnie le long de chaque bord longitudinal, de perforations qui l'engrènent, au moyen des broches espacées de deux roues à entraînement à picots utilisées dans un appareil de manutention du papier pour introduire la bande dans une machine. Selon la présente invention, des fentes (3, 3') de forme allongée alternent avec les perforations (2, 2') pour lesdites roues de chaque côté de la bande (1). Grâce à ces fentes, la bande peut être utilisée avec des machines du type décrit sous EP-B-0134064 qui sont munies d'une broche supplémentaire sur chaque roue d'entraînement de manière à fournir un repère exact à la bande lors de son introduction dans la machine.
