In a process for the separation of magnetisable, in particular weakly magnetisable materials, from a mixture of solids, carried over a curved surface as far as an ejection zone, by means of a magnetic field, the range of action of the magnetic field is concentrated on the ejection zone and a shorter trajectory parabola is imposed by the magnetic field on the magnetisable materials which are in the process of being released from the curved surface and are entering a trajectory parabola, in comparison with the non-magnetisable materials. A magnetic field generator (18) is arranged next to a linear and/or curved and/or bent slideway (6) made of an antimagnetic material in the region of the material ejection zone (31) and is aligned with its range of action on the ejection trajectory (28). <IMAGE>

Bei einem Verfahren zum Abtrennen magnetisierbarer, insbesondere schwachmagnetisierbarer, Materialien aus einem über eine gekrümmte Fläche bis zu einer Abwurfzone geführten Feststoffgemisch mittels eines Magnetfeldes, wird der Wirkbereich des Magnetfeldes auf die Abwurfzone konzentriert und den sich von der gekrümmten Fläche gerade ablösenden, in eine Wurfparabel übergehenden magnetisierbaren Materialien durch das Magnetfeld eine gegenüber nichtmagnetisierbaren Materialien kürzere Wurfparabel aufgezwungen. Ein Magnetfelderzeuger (18) ist neben einer geradlinigen und/oder gekrümmten und/oder abgeknickten Gleitbahn (6) aus einem antimagnetischen Werkstoff im Bereich der Materlalabwurfzone (31) angeordnet und mit seinem Wirkbereich auf die Abwurflinie (28) ausgerichtet. <IMAGE>
