[origin: EP0456104A1] For a profiled support for construction of a system of shop furnishing or the like, a U-shaped profiled rail (2) with the following construction features is proposed, which has, mirror-symmetrically to the plane of symmetry (S) of the U on the outer sides of the side walls (3) which lie parallel to one another, a large number of guide grooves (4, 6, 10), oriented parallel or perpendicularly to the plane of symmetry (S), for receiving wall elements (23, 24, 25) oriented parallel or perpendicularly to the plane of symmetry, and there being designed on the ground side (7) of the U laterally outwardly directed profiled noses (9) for locking in a profiled front (17) provided with complementary locking grooves (20). A profiled support is thus available, which affords optimum variability in addition to high stability and which in particular makes possible problem-free construction and dismantling of a system of shop furnishing. <IMAGE>
