The production of a granular bleaching activator composition containing A) 40 to 95 % by weight of pentaacetylglucose or a mixture of pentaacetylglucose and other customary bleaching activators and B) 5 to 60 % by weight of one or more additives from the following substance classes (1) basic inorganic alkali metal and alkaline earth metal salts, (2) mono-, di- and trialkylamines, (3) chelating organic complexing agents in combination with hydroxy carboxylic acids, (4) water-insoluble inorganic silicates, (5) anionic surfactants, (6) non-ionic surfactants, (7) polymers containing carboxyl groups and (8) polysaccharides, by (a) reacting glucose with acetic anhydride to give pentaacetyl glucose, (b) removing the acetic acid which is produced during this by distillation, to a residual content of 0.2 to 10 % by weight, (c) adding to the reaction mixture one or more of additives B and, where appropriate, other customary bleaching activators and (d) converting the product into a granular form. e

Herstellung einer körnigen Bleichaktivatorzusammensetzung, enthaltend A) 40 bis 95 Gew.-% Pentaacetylglucose oder einer Mischung aus Pentaacetylglucose und weiteren üblichen Bleichaktivatoren und B) 5 bis 60 Gew.-% eines oder mehrerer Zusatzstoffe aus den folgenden Stoffklassen (1) basische anorganische Alkali- und Erdalkalimetallsalze, (2) Mono-, Di- und Trialkylamine, (3) chelatisierend wirkende organische Komplexbildner in Kombination mit Hydroxycarbonsäuren, (4) wasserunlösliche anorganische Silicate, (5) anionische Tenside, (6) nichtionische Tenside, (7) carboxylgruppenhaltige Polymerisate und (8) Polysaccharide, indem man (a) Glucose mit Essigsäureanhydrid zu Pentaacetylglucose umsetzt, (b) die hierbei entstehende Essigsäure bis auf einen Restgehalt von 0,2 bis 10 Gew.-% destillativ entfernt, (c) das Reaktionsgemisch mit einem oder mehreren der Zusatzstoffe B und gegebenenfalls weiteren üblichen Bleichaktivatoren versetzt und (d) das Produkt durch Konfektionierung in eine körnige Form überführt.
