[origin: EP0456322A2] The invention relates to an arrangement for producing X-ray photographs by means of an X-ray source for generating an X-ray beam, a photoconductor for converting X-ray radiation into a charge pattern which is applied to a carrier that is constructed in a rotationally symmetrical fashion with respect to an axis of rotation, a drive unit for driving the carrier about the axis of rotation, and a read-out unit which after the taking of an X-ray photograph converts the charge pattern on the surface of the rotating converter into electrical image values. The invention achieves a shorter taking time (in conjunction with an unchanged short time for reading out the photoconductor) due to the fact that the converter does not rotate during the taking of an X-ray photograph. <IMAGE>
