[origin: EP0456539A1] The invention relates to radiology instruments. The invention lies in the fact that the X-ray source comprises two parts 10 and 11, of which one 11 contains the tube 20 with rotating anode, and the other 10 the stator 15. The two parts 10 and 11 are intended to be assembled together and to create an inner volume to be filled with an insulating medium (39) which is solid at ambient temperature and which is fluid at the operating temperature of the tube. To replace the tube, it suffices to remove the part 11 by dismantling and stripping and to reintroduce a new part 11 containing a new tube. <IMAGE>
