[origin: EP0456599A1] The linear shed multiphase loom has a shed forming weaving rotor (11) into which weft threads (9) are inserted. It is fitted with shed forming guide elements (12) and with reeds (15), into which laying elements (31) insert warp threads (1-8, 1'-8') by lateral displacement to the direction of rotation (10). During shed formation, a deflection laterally to the direction of rotation (10) is imparted to the majority of warp threads which is only cancelled when the guide elements (12) dip away before the beat-up, so that the warp thread realign themselves. If this realignment is incomplete and shows systematic deviations, a formation of stripes, i.e. reediness, will occur along adjacent warp threads. According to the invention, the position of laying elements (31), the geometry and position of reeds (15,16,17,28), the position of up and down guides and the laying programme are correlated to each other in such a way that reediness can be controlled for reeds with at least two warp threads per occupied space (25). <IMAGE>
