The invention relates to a cylinder crankcase (10) of a liquid-cooled reciprocating piston internal combustion engine with cylinders (12) arranged in a V-shape, which are surrounded by cooling ducts (22), a transverse duct (20) which connects the cooling ducts (22) of the rows of cylinders (12) to one another and which has a duct section running downwards, by way of which the coolant can be drained off, being provided in order to achieve more even cooling and to facilitate a favourable draining-off of the coolant on the flywheel-side end face of the cylinder crankcase. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Zylinder-Kurbelgehäuse (10) einer flüssigkeitsgekühlten Hubkolben-Brennkraftmaschine mit V-förmig angeordneten Zylindern (12), die von Kühlkanälen (22) umgeben sind, wobei zur Erzielung einer gleichmäßigeren Kühlung und zur Einrichtung eines günstigen Kühlmittelablasses an der schwungradseitigen Stirnseite des Zylinder-Kurbelgehäuses ein Querkanal (20) vorgesehen ist, der die Kühlkanäle (22) der Zylinderreihen (12) miteinander verbindet und der einen nach unten verlaufenden Kanalabschnitt aufweist, über den das Kühlmittel ablaßbar ist. <IMAGE>
