[origin: EP0457957A1] Textile adhesive-action closures (22, 24) are used to fix the vertical support column (14), e.g. of a lectern (16, 18), on a piece of furniture, e.g. a writing desk (10, 12). Using a textile adhesive-action closure (22, 24), the support column (14) is fixed on the working surface (10) of the writing desk. A further textile adhesive-action closure may serve as a second fixing point to prevent the support column (14) from tipping. <IMAGE>
