1. Thread severing device for a spindle of a spinning or twisting frame with an annular body (32), attachable between a tube receiving device (2) of the spindle and a winding point of the spindle. 2.1 For severing threads of high tensile strength, high thread draw-off forces are require on known cutters which can lead to unwinding of the thread from the tube. 2.2 The body (14) has an essentially pot-shaped form and the edge provided with notches (11) faces the winding point at an incline of about 45 DEG to about 65 DEG in relation to the spindle axis (24). 2.3 Application on ring spinning frames. <IMAGE>

1. Fadentrennvorrichtung für eine Spindel einer Spinn- oder Zwirnmaschine mit einem ringförmigen Körper (32), der zwischen einer Hülsenaufnahme (2) der Spindel und einer Aufwickelstelle der Spindel anbringbar ist. 2.1. Bei bekannten ringförmigen Schneidkörpern sind zum Durchtrennen reißfester Fäden hohe Fadenzugkräfte notwendig, die zu einem Abwickeln des Fadens von der Hülse führen können. 2.2. Der Körper (14) weist eine im wesentlichen topfförmige Gestalt auf und der mit den Kerben (11) versehene Rand ist der Aufwickelstelle mit einer Neigung von etwa 45° bis etwa 65° zur Spindelachse (24) zugewandt. 2.3. Verwendung bei Ringspinnmaschinen. <IMAGE>
