Abstract (en)
In order to achieve with a method and apparatus for sizing filament yarn, in which the yarn is stretched between the squeezing unit of the sizing trough and the subsequent final dryer, a temperature sufficient for stretching even polyester yarn in the wet zone without damaging the size applied, the yarn is kept without drying, at full conveying speed of the sizing plant in the stretching area, at approximately 100 DEG C. <IMAGE>

Um bei einem Verfahren und einer Vorrichtung zum Schlichten von Filamentgarn, bei dem das Garn zwischen dem Quetschwerk des Schlichtetrogs und dem nachgeschalteten Endtrockner verstreckt wird, eine zum Verstrecken ausreichende Temperatur auch für Polyester-Garn im Naßfeld zu erreichen, ohne die aufgebrachte Schlichte zu schädigen, wird das Garn im Naßfeld bei voller Transportgeschwindigkeit der Schlichteanlage im Bereich der Verstreckung, ohne zu trocknen, auf annähernd 100° C gehalten. <IMAGE>
