The invention relates to a filling head for filling machines, having a liquid valve which possesses a valve member 16 movable to-and-fro on a filling-head axis between a position which closes the liquid valve 14 and a position which opens said valve, and having a discharge opening 19, provided on the underside of the filling head, for the liquid filling material. Furthermore, a gas pipe 12 is provided, which projects beyond the underside of the filling head and in which a gas duct 27 possessing a return-gas opening is formed. Furthermore, a visor-like deflector 23, moved concomitantly on opening and closing the liquid valve, is provided. The special feature of a filling head of this type consists in that the valve member 16 is movable in the direction of the underside of the filling head for opening the liquid valve 14, in that the deflector 23 closes off the discharge opening 19 in the closed position of the liquid valve, and in that the gas duct 27 possesses an enlarged cross-section at least in the region of the return-gas opening 27, in order to achieve the flow rate and prevent filling material from being carried along into the gas duct. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Füllelement für Füllmaschinen mit einem Flüssigkeitsventil, welches einen zwischen einer das Flüssigkeitsventil (14) sperrenden und einer dieses Ventil öffnenden Stellung in einer Füllelementachse hin- und herbewegbaren Ventilkörper (16) aufweist, und mit einer an der Unterseite des Füllelementes vorgesehenen Abgabeöffnung (19) für das flüssige Füllgut. Weiterhin ist ein Gasrohr (12) vorgesehen, welches mit einem Abschnitt über die Unterseite des Füllelementes vorsteht und in welchem ein eine Rückgasöffnung aufweisenden Gaskanal (27) ausgebildet ist. Ferner ist ein beim Öffnen und Schließen des Flüssigkeitsventils mitbewegter schirmchenartiger Abweiser (23) vorgesehen. Die Besonderheit besteht bei einem Füllelement dieser Art darin, daß der Ventilkörper (16) zum Öffnen des Flüssigkeitsventils (14) in Richtung auf die Unterseite des Füllelementes bewegbar ist, daß der Abweiser (23) in der sperrenden Stellung des Flüssigkeitsventils die Abgabeöffnung (19) abschließt, und daß der Gaskanal (27) zumindest im Bereich der Rückgasöffnung (27) zur Erzielung der Strömungsgeschwindigkeit sowie zur Vermeidung eines Mitführens von Füllgut in den Gaskanal einen vergrößerten Querschnitt aufweist. <IMAGE>
