[origin: WO9009481A1] A forming apparatus (10) is disclosed for forming a web (W) from stock (S) ejected through a slice lip (12) of a headbox (14). The apparatus (10) includes a first wire (16) which extends in an endless loop (18) past the slice lip (12) such that the stock (S) is ejected through the slice lip (12) onto the first wire (16). A second wire (20) extends in a further endless loop (22) with the second wire (20) cooperating with the first wire (16) for defining therebetween a forming section (24) having a first and a second end (26, 28) such that the web (W) is formed during passage of the stock (S) through the forming section (24). A first and a second turning bar (30, 32) are disposed respectively within the endless loop (18) and the further endless loop (22) adjacent to the first end (26) of the forming section (24) such that the slice lip (12) is disposed in close proximity to the first end (26) of the forming section (24). The apparatus (10) also includes a curved drainage device (34), a first slot (36), a box (38), a second slot (42) and a further curved drainage device (44). The curvature of the curved drainage device (34) and the box (38) is opposite to the curvature of the further curved drainage device (44) such that the stock (S) is progressively drained through both wires (16, 20) during passage through the forming section (24) from the first (26) towards the second end (28) thereof.

On décrit un appareil de formation (10) permettant de former une bande (W) à partir d'une pâte de papier (S) éjectée par les lèvres de la règle d'épaisseur (12) d'une boîte de tête (14). Ledit appareil (10) comprend une première toile sans fin (16) qui se prolonge en une boucle sans fin (18) en passant devant les lèvres de la règle d'épaisseur (12), de sorte que la pâte de papier (S) éjectée par lesdites lèvres (12) tombe sur la première toile sans fin (16). Une seconde toile (20) se prolonge en une autre boucle sans fin (22) et coopère avec la première toile (16) pour définir entre elles une zone de formation (24) comportant une première et une deuxième extrémité (26, 28), de sorte que la bande (W) se forme au cours du passage de la pâte de papier (S) à travers la zone de formation (24). Des première et seconde barres de rotation (30, 32) sont placées, respectivement, dans la première boucle sans fin (18) et dans la seconde boucle sans fin (22) jouxtant la première extrémité (26) de la zone de formation, de sorte que les lèvres de la règle d'épaisseur (12) se trouvent à proximité de la première extrémité (26) de la zone de formation (24). L'appareil en question (10) comprend également un dispositif d'écartement courbe (34), une première fente (36), une boîte (38), une seconde fente (42) et un autre dispositif d'écoulement courbe (44). La courbure du dispositif d'écoulement courbe (34) et de la boîte (38) est contraire à la courbure de l'autre dispositif d'écoulement courbe (44), de sorte que la pâte de papier (S) s'écoule progressivement entre les deux toiles sans fin (16, 20) à travers la zone de formation (24), en passant d'une extrémité (26) à l'autre (28) de celle-ci.
