[origin: EP0459697A1] A machine tool comprises a threaded end (10) projecting from a powered shaft (22) to fasten coaxially with the shaft a rotating tool (20) by tightening a ring nut (18). On the shaft (22) is mounted a collar (16) resting axially on a radial projection of the shaft with the interposition of a roller bearing (17) and the ring nut (18), screwed to the threaded end (10), clamps the tool (20) against the front surface of the collar (16). Between the ring nut (18) and the collar (16) are placed means (18,30) of mutual engagement and between the collar (16) and the shaft (22) are placed means (13) of unidirectional constraint upon rotation for free rotation of the collar (16) in the direction of tightening the ring nut (18) and for engagement between the shaft (22) and the collar (16) upon rotation of the latter in the direction of loosening of the ring nut (18). The means (13) can be deactivated by operation of a pushbutton (11). <IMAGE>
