Abstract (en)
In electrical and electronic systems (1), the task of object fire protection increasingly arises. According to the invention, an environmentally friendly device with extinguishing agent container (7) and fire detector (6) is arranged directly in the system (1) or at the latter, which acts directly on the source of the fire before it spreads. Carbon dioxide, in particular, has been successful as extinguishing agent. The method according to the invention is based on early detection of decomposition, oxidation and/or combustion products and on an electrically generated control signal which, via a rapid-opening valve (8), provides the extinguishing agent for displacing the oxygen of the air in the housing of the system (1). The subject matter of the invention has been particularly successful when used in computers. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei elektrischen und elektronischen Anlagen (1) stellt sich in vermehrtem Masse die Aufgabe eines Objektbrandschutzes. Erfindungsgemäss wird eine umweltfreundliche Vorrichtung mit Löschmittelbehälter (7) und Brand-Detektor (6) unmittelbar in der Anlage (1) oder an dieser angeordnet, welche direkt auf den Brandherd einwirkt, bevor sich dieser ausbreitet. Als Löschmittel hat sich insbesondere Kohlendioxid bewährt. Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren beruht auf einer frühzeitigen Erkennung von Zersetzungs-, Oxidations- und/oder Verbrennungsprodukten und einem elektrisch generierten Steuersignal, welches über ein Schnellöffnungsventil (8) das Löschmittel zur Verdrängung des Luftsauerstoffs im Gehäuse der Anlage (1) bereitstellt. Besonders bewährt hat sich der Erfindungsgegenstand bei seiner Verwendung in Computern. <IMAGE>
