[origin: EP0459950A1] Process for improving the thermal and/or photochemical stability of dyed and undyed polyamide fibres by treatment with a composition from an aqueous bath containing (A) a compound of the formula (1) (A-Y-)nZ(-W)m in which A denotes the radical of a sterically hindered phenol of the benzene series, Y denotes a radical of the formula (2) or (3) <IMAGE> in which X and X', independently of one another, denote alkylene, oxaalkylene or thiaalkylene, R2 and R3, independently of one another, denote hydrogen or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group and x, x' and y, independently of one another, are each 0 or 1, Z denotes an aliphatic or a carbocyclic aromatic radical, the latter containing at most two mono- or bicyclic rings, W denotes a sulpho group and m and n, independently of one another, denote 1 or 2, and their water-soluble salts, and (B) a UV absorber.
