[origin: WO9009471A1] A device for charging a textile machine with fibrous material comprises a horizontal transport channel (10), a filling box (2) which extends vertically downward from the transport channel (10) and a collecting chamber (3) for air, which is separated by an airtight intermediate wall (9) from the filling box (2) which in turn is connected to the transport channel (10). The collecting chamber (3) for air has a closable outlet orifice for discharge of the transport air flow. A fibre transport device (18) is arranged at the lower end of the filling box (2). At least one outlet orifice (6) which can alternately and abruptly release and block the transport air flow (7) is arranged at the lower end of the collecting chamber for air.
