[origin: WO9110002A1] A device for the heat treatment and especially the humidification of bobbins, spools and cones is based on a longitudinal steam chamber (2) of adjustable height arranged beneath and parallel to a row of suspended spools (15). On insertion into the steam chamber (2), the spools (15) are released and heat-treated after a cover (7) has been closed. Alternatively, a closed, channel shaped steam chamber may be inserted into the path of the spools, thus permitting continuous humidification. The storage time of the spools after humidification can be predetermined within wide limits. In addition, the installation requires the minimum amount of space and no additional manual handling of the spools.
