[origin: EP0460535A1] An exercise step/bench (10) for aerobic climbing and dance includes a base (12) in the form of a horizontal platform (14) having a downwardly and outwardly extending apron (16) disposed at an angle greater than 0 DEG and less than 90 DEG . A leg (20) is mounted against the apron (16) at each corner (18) of the platform (14). The leg (20) is movable from an active position where it extends downwardly beyond the apron (16) to a stored condition where it is mounted against or in the base (18) within the periphery of the apron (16). <IMAGE>
