[origin: EP0460685A1] The invention relates to a vertically adjustable table, having an understructure (1) standing on the floor and an upper structure (2) which is vertically adjustable relative to said understructure and has a table top (3), a vertical adjustment device (4) being arranged between the understructure (1) and the upper structure (2), and an essentially mirror-inverted double cable pull guide being provided for even telescopability. In order to provide a vertically adjustable table without a cross-strut between the table legs, it is proposed that two of the cable pull guides each have two deflection rollers (10a, 10b; 11a, 11b), arranged on the upper structure (2) in the upper region of the legs (5', 6') near to the table top (3), and furthermore a deflection roller (10c, 11c), arranged at the lower end of the one telescopic leg (5', 6') of the upper structure (2), and a tensioned cable (band 12a, 12b) which is attached to the upper end of that leg (5, 6) of the understructure which is assigned to the leg (5', 6') of the upper structure (2) with the deflection roller (10c, 11c) at the lower end, and which is furthermore guided around the lower deflection roller (10c, 11c) of the telescopic leg (5', 6'). <IMAGE>
