[origin: EP0461340A1] The invention relates to a nozzle for sliding gate systems used, for example, with steel casting ladles, having an essentially cylindrical sheet-metal jacket (1), which has a refractory lining (2) on its inside, and a fixing device by which the nozzle is fixed on a sliding gate valve plate. A nozzle which can be fixed rapidly and simply on a sliding gate valve plate and provides a high degree of security against steel fracture even after repeated use is created by virtue of the fact that the sheet-metal jacket (1) and the fixing device are connected to one another integrally and that the sheet-metal jacket (1) and the refractory lining (2) have a constant wall thickness. <IMAGE>
