The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner (1) with a noise-reducing part (7) which is attachable to the motor (2) of the blower aggregate and surrounds the motor housing, leaving a flow space free. The space requirement for the storage of the noise-reducing part (7) can be reduced considerably in that the noise-reducing part (7) is plate-shaped and is provided with wedge-shaped incisions (10) which allow hood-shaped deformation and extend from the circumferential edge with their tip towards the centre of the part.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Staubsauger (1) mit einem auf dem Motor (2) des Gebläseaggregates aufsteckbaren schalldämmenden Körper (7), welcher das Motorgehäuse unter Belassung eines Strömungsraumes umgibt. Der Raumbedarf für die Lagerhaltung des schalldämmenden Körpers (7) kann dadurch wesentlich reduziert werden, daß der schalldämmende Körper (7) plattenförmig ausgebildet und mit eine hutförmige Verformung zulassenden, keilförmigen Einschnitten (10) versehen ist, welche sich vom Umfangsrand her mit ihrer Spitze zur Mitte des Körpers erstrecken.
