[origin: EP0386636A1] The invention describes the use of esters, which are fluid at room temperature and have flashpoints above 80 DEG C, selected from monocarboxylic acids or synthetic and/or natural origin with 6 to 11 C atoms and monofunctional and/or multifunctional alcohols as the oil phase or a component thereof in invert drilling muds which are suitable for the environmentally favourable extraction of petroleum or natural gas deposits and, in a closed oil phase, contain a dispersed aqueous phase together with emulsifiers, fillers, fluid loss additives and, if desired, other customary additives. In a further embodiment the invention relates to invert drilling muds of the aforementioned kind in which the oil phase contains esters of monocarboxylic acids of synthetic and/or natural origin with 6 to 11 C atoms and with monofunctional and/or multifunctional alcohols mixed, if desired, with other components from the class of ecologically acceptable compounds.

L'invention décrit l'utilisation d'esters sélectionnés, fluides à la température ambiante et présentant des points d'éclair supérieurs à 80°C, d'acides monocarboxyliques d'origine synthétique et/ou naturelle comportant 6 à 11 atomes de C et d'alcools monofonctionnels et/ou polyfonctionnels en tant que phase huile ou constituants de la phase huile de boues de forage inverses convenant pour la prospection off-shore écologique de gisements de pétrole ou de gaz naturel. Ces esters contiennent, dans une phase huile fermée, une phase aqueuse dispersée ainsi que des émulsifiants, des charges, des additifs contre les pertes de fluide et, si cela se révèle souhaitable, d'autres additifs courants. Dans une autre version, l'invention concerne des fluides de forage inverses, du type indiqué, caractérisés par le fait que la phase huile contient des esters d'acides monocarboxyliques d'origine synthétique et/ou naturelle comportant 6 à 11 atomes de C avec des alcools monofonctionnels et/ou polyfonctionnels mélangés, si cela se révèle souhaitable, à d'autres éléments appartenant à la catégorie des composés ne présentant pas de risques pour l'environnement.
