A panel-mounted switch, whose switch mechanism consists essentially of a rotatably supported contact lever (2) and of a manual operating device (3) which is connected outside its rotation bearing (4) in a rotationally moving manner to the contact lever, by means of a switching rod (5) in the manner of a bell crank. The rotation bearing (6) of the contact lever is formed by the switching rod (5); the contact lever is guided in a link (10). The contact-free arm (8) of the contact lever (2) can set itself freely within a wide range, determined by the contact opening movement. When the contact opens, a rolling movement takes place initially with large opening forces and then sudden opening. During closing, large contact forces are achieved in the final phase. The current-carrying capacity is thus large. <IMAGE>

Einbauschalter, dessen Schaltschloß im wesentlichen aus einem drehbar gelagerten Kontakthebel (2) und aus einem Handbedienungsorgan (3) besteht, das außerhalb seines Drehlagers (4) durch eine Schaltstange (5) nach Art eines Kniegelenks mit dem Kontakthebel drehbeweglich verbunden ist. Das Drehlager (6) des Kontakthebels wird durch die Schaltstange (5) gebildet; er wird in einer Kulisse (10) geführt. Der kontaktfreie Arm (8) des Kontakthebels (2) kann sich, gemessen am Kontaktöffnungsweg, in einem erheblichen Bereich frei einstellen. Beim Öffnen des Kontakts erfolgt zunächst eine Rollbewegung bei großen Öffnungskräften und dann eine rasche Öffnung. Beim Schließen werden in der Endphase große Kontaktkräfte erzielt. Die Stromtragfähigkeit ist daher groß. <IMAGE>
