Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0462430A1] The yarn is guided by a yarn guide (1) fastened to a cord (2). According to the invention, the cord (2) is driven by a driving part (7) which executes a harmonic vibration under the effect of a transmission roller (13) engaging into a slot (8). The transmission roller (13) is attached to a disc-shaped supporting part (24) driven via a driving wheel (5) and can be displaced in the radial direction by means of an electric motor (25) in order to change the amplitude of the harmonic vibration. For the purpose of approximating the movement of the yarn guide to a triangular vibration, a heart-shaped compensating disc (15), likewise driven via the driving wheel (5), sets a slide (16) in movement oscillating in synchronism with the harmonic vibration, so that by means of displaceable pairs of rollers (18a, 18b; 18c, 18d), which are mounted on the slide (16) and via which, and also via stationary rollers (20a; 20b) located between successive displaceable rollers, the cord (2) is guided, the travel of the cord (2) is respectively lengthened on one side of the traversing interval and is shortened correspondingly on the other side. <IMAGE>
